With resolution no. 313 of 29 October 2025, the National Council led by new president Luciano Buonfiglio renewed the mandates of CONI's Foreign Delegates for the 2025-2028 Olympic period. For Switzerland, Dr Cirano Tondi was confirmed in office.

From 4 to 7 October 2026, around 5,000 Under 14 athletes (born 2012-2016) compete in Puglia. Opening ceremony in Bari, competitions in Capurso. The Swiss delegation of CONI takes part as a guest in the Italian Communities Abroad section. Applications open to Italian-Swiss families until 10 September 2026.
As CONI Svizzera we are selecting a delegation of Italian-Swiss youngsters aged 12 and 13 for the great international gathering of young athletes of Italian descent. Flight, meals, accommodation and activities covered by CONI.
On Saturday 27 June 2026 the Gründenmoos sports facility in St. Gallen hosts the Comites Cup St. Gallen 2026, an international Under 17 women's football tournament organised by the Comites of St. Gallen. Eight teams from Italy, Germany and Switzerland will compete for the trophy from 10:00 to 19:00, free entry.
The National Final of the fourth edition of the Winter Trofeo CONI will take place from 18 to 21 December 2025 in the AOSTA VALLEY.
At the meeting of 29 October 2025 at the Milan Triennale, 100 days before the Milano-Cortina 2026 Games, CONI's National Junta appointed the Foreign Delegates for the 2025-2028 term. For Switzerland, Dr Cirano Tondi was confirmed.
On 26 June 2025 the National Council elected Luciano Buonfiglio to lead the Italian National Olympic Committee for the 2025-2028 term, with 47 votes. A Neapolitan, former Olympic canoeist and for twenty years president of the Italian Canoe Kayak Federation, he succeeds Giovanni Malagò.
The second edition of the Winter Trofeo CONI took place from 15 to 17 December 2023 in PIEDMONT, in Turin, Pinerolo, Bardonecchia and Pragelato, with a Swiss delegation as guest in the ALPINE SKIING discipline, with Slalom and Giant Slalom competitions.

From 29.09.2022 to 02.10.2022 the Valdichiana Senese, in Tuscany, hosted the seventh summer edition of the Trofeo CONI, the great youth sports event organised by the Italian National Olympic Committee in collaboration with the Italian sports federations and CONI's territorial structures.
The Valdichiana Senese will host the seventh summer edition of the Trofeo CONI from 29 September to 2 October 2022.

A hugely successful youth sports festival for this sixth edition of the Trofeo CONI Kinder+Sport, held for the first time in Calabria in the provinces of Crotone and Catanzaro from 26 to 29 September 2019. Around 3,800 athletes aged 10 to 14 competed, with the CONI delegations from Canada and Switzerland as guests.

CONI Svizzera Delegation 2018: from 20 to 23 September 2018, Rimini and some neighbouring municipalities hosted the great festival of sport with over 3,300 young athletes from all the regions of Italy: the Trofeo CONI + Kinder.
From 20 to 23 September in Rimini (RN), CONI in collaboration with the Italian Sports Federations organises the TrofeoConi, a sort of small Italian Olympics dedicated to sports-loving girls and boys aged between 10 and 14.

Both father Gerardo and mother Caroline have always played sport, regularly taking part in Swiss military races with the traditional seven-kilo backpack. Now their four Italian-Swiss children are following in their footsteps, but are even more active.
At the age of 5 he began practising kung fu wushu. Since 2002 (at just sixteen) he has been part of the Italian national team. Black belt 4th duan with master qualification.
The ceremony, held on 9 and 10 June 2014 at the Foro Italico park in the capital, saw the participation of the best Italian athletes of all time. Alberto Tomba and Sara Simeoni were elected athletes of the century.
