Italian Wushu Kung Fu champion Michele Giordano at the Games

At the age of 5 he began practising kung fu wushu. Since 2002 (at just sixteen) he has been part of the Italian national team. Black belt 4th duan with master qualification. International referee. 7th at the World Championships in Vietnam 2005. 7th at the BEIJING 2008 OLYMPIC TOURNAMENT. 6th at the world championships in Canada 2009. Silver medal at the European championships 2006, 2008, 2014. European champion in 2010 in Turkey. European bronze in 2012 in Estonia. 9th at the world championships in Malaysia 2013. Michele Giordano was appointed by the President of the Italian Wushu Kung Fu Federation Vincenzo Drago, in accordance with the decisions of the Federal Council regarding the development of the competitive and promotional sectors, to create a competitive format reserved for Under 23s that supports, on the one hand, high-level competitive activity and, on the other, serves as the basis for the Modern Taolu Regions Cup starting from 2016. The appointment of the Azzurro Michele Giordano is part of a broad project on promoting athletes' dual careers, in which the Federal Council strongly believes. The Federation, in expressing its most heartfelt thanks for accepting the assignment, trusts in the commitment and dedication that the Azzurro Michele Giordano will devote to the development of the project. In Switzerland, with the technical assistance and help of Michele Giordano and teacher Antonio Mecca, a Wushu Kung Fu gym will open, which the master will regularly visit, keeping in touch with the students.
